On June 5 the project partner STEP Charity Foundation, Nizhny Novgorod, organised and held a children’s party for children and mothers, the organisation’s mentees. As part of the event, a children’s drawing competition “My Family”, springboard race were held, and, of course, according to a good tradition, gifts were given to all the children who came.
International Children’s Day is a day designed to draw people’s attention to the children’s issues from all over the world. Children’s Day is celebrated every year on the 1st of June. The date was established in November 1949 in Paris by the International Democratic Women’s Federation Congress, and was first commemorated in 1950.
For more than 4 years, the STEP Charity Foundation has been caring for families, including those with HIV positive children, with one goal in mind – to improve the lives of children and, consequently, their parents. Every year our partners and STEP Foundation organise summer
camps and festive events bringing children and parents together.
