Vulnerable Youth Support Program

The project is aimed at developing the organizational, methodological and advocacy potential of nine regional NGOs. The goal of the project is to provide comprehensive support to young people in reproductive health and rights, social well-being and employment in Nizhny Novgorod, Ekaterinburg and Rostov-on-Don. Trainings for partner NGOs to pass on the methods of work with young people in health preservation and employment skills development are organized in the frames of the project. The project is implemented by the support of the European Union.

Six forms of target group research were developed. Quantitative and qualitative research among youth on behavioral health risk factors and studies aimed to assess implemented programs were conducted.

Trainings for 94 school and college teachers on employment skills development with the help of Career4me platform were conducted. The teachers invited 2350 students to participate in the project. The planned result by the end of the project is 6,000.

Trainings for youth leaders (Champions) on conducting the Journey for Life Prevention Program were organized. 42 Champions were trained and began to conduct the Journeys among their peers.

More than 530 people have participated in the Journey for Life Program aimed at building capacity and empowering youth in reproductive health in order to develop confidence and ability to confront harmful social norms and habits.

8,350 young people took part in the training and information events. The planned result by the end of the project is 12,000 participants.

Lectures and psychological counseling sessions were conducted for 374 parents of teenagers. 80% of them indicated that the covered topics were relevant and up-to-date.
