New Rostov-on-Don Champions are ready to work!!!
On August 3-7 training for new Champions4Life for Rostov Region team took place. 14 young people from Rostov-on-Don and Rostov region medical schools participated in the training. Previously they had participated in the Journey for Life Program at their educational establishments. The program included two “Second wave” Champions Alina and Alya, who were trained in 2020. Their role included functions of coordinators for the new team. The training took place at the “Kazachok” children’s health camp as part of the Youth Leadership School “Academy of Success” on the Azov Sea. In spite of the heat, the newly trained Champions received all the necessary knowledge and skills to start the program “Journey for Life” for their peers in September. The program is aimed at developing leadership competencies, healthcare skills, and soft skills to increase the competitiveness of young people in today’s society.
Participants noted that information was presented in the unusual way. They realized that they could answer their own questions about making decisions on their lives themselves and put knowledge into practice. Young people consider it necessary to conduct this program with their peers, as young people have no one to ask and often make wrong decisions, which does not change their lives for the better.
