Trainings on HIV prevention counseling skills were conducted for gynecologists, therapists, general practitioners, residents and nurses in Rostov Region.
The trainings were held by FOCUS-MEDIA Foundation in partnership with an NGO Young Doctors of Don. Participants were presented with methods of pre- and post-test counseling, develop their knowledge in HIV prevention, analyzed current clinical and methodological recommendations, sanitary rules and other regulatory documents in their professional activities.
The group spoke about their attitudes and experiences in relation to HIV infection, methods of providing assistance to patients with different social background, and peer-to-peer approach in multidisciplinary teams.
