Tomorrow, April 14, on the basis of the School of Engineering Culture (Secondary School No. 518 of the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg), a professional development program for teachers of primary and high schools “Formation of engineering culture of students within the framework of the Federal State Educational Standard. School Project Bureau: STEM Technologies in Action” wil be launched. It will unite more than 40 subject teachers from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
In the course of 3 practice-oriented classes, which will be held on April 14, 28 and May 12, teachers will get acquainted with the STEM methodology (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and its unique interdisciplinary approach to the study of exact and natural sciences in the course of project activities. Teachers will also prepare their own projects and receive sets of equipment for their implementation together with students.
The program is implemented by the FOCUS-MEDIA Foundation for Social Development and Health Protection together with the Center for Advanced Training “Educational Technologies”.
