ON SEPTEMBER 7, A KICK-OFF SEMINAR ON THE PROJECT “STEM-EDUCATION THE WAY TO PROGRESS” WAS HELD
The orientation workshop on the project “STEM-education a way to success” was held on September, 7. The seminar was held by the Deputy Director of School N518, member of IUCN CEC (Education and Outreach Commission) Yulia Albertovna Danilova for 25 participants online. The participants met with the trainers and discussed their projects. The long-awaited competition is ahead. Some teachers were so inspired by the training that have already started their courses in their educational institutions.
Demchenko Sergey launched a robotics course for students aged 11-17. The program is aimed at popularizing the profession of engineering. In the modern world robots are used in many areas, so it is important to give skills in controlling equipment. Also there is a lot of time to develop creativity in children, allowing them to solve technical problems and create new unique products.
Natalya Grishina has introduced a course in practical physics for students aged 14-15. It allows to see how complex formulas and laws work in everyday life and ensures a better learning. The course also includes laboratory work and fundamental experiments using physical instruments. While the creation of mini-STEM projects allows students to form a scientific mindset and experience in research activities.
